On Favorite Test Photo Shoots and Feeding the Muse
Sometimes, I feel, like a photographer who’s ready to explore and experiment and try out new ideas. Some of my favorite photo shoots include test shoots with friends that allow for testing gear, outfits, light, and lighting patterns, poses, and the strangest of ideas.
And so, in this post, I’d like to share (perhaps reshare) a few images from these photo shoots – photographing men in black and white, shooting in the studio, experimenting with directional light, enhancing texture, mood, and “sketching” with light, and, yes, converting images to black-and-white.
More samples are available here.
Sometimes it’s good to just photograph what we want, what feeds our muse. Sometimes we do have to tend to that muse, because without it, how are we going to continue creating?
As always, thanks for stopping by,
