August 19 is World Photography Day and, in its 35th year, is part of World Photography Week, August 12 – August 26, 2026, in association with next year’s Photography 200, which marks the anniversary of the world’s oldest photograph.

Fans of photography and image makers celebrate World Photography Day and Week by sharing images, participating in photography-related events, and contests.
