The Story Behind the Image

“…Choose wisely, for while the right Grail will bring you life, the false Grail will take it away from you.”

The words of the Grail Knight character, in one of the Indiana Jones movies, came to mind the other day, when thinking of the choices (and their consequences) that help shape our life. Oftentimes, these choices are binary, inflection points defining before-and-after moments in our journey through life, changing it for better or for worse.

What would be a physical, visual, real-life representation of these kinds of moments?

Mother Nature offers plenty of sources of inspiration. Take rainbows, for example (and, yes, I mention them yet again). But for the purpose of this post, let’s consider rainbows in the context the old saying about rain and rainbows:

“After the rain comes the rainbow.”

I called the above image “Rainbow Divide” because the rainbow divides the scene in shadows and shades of light, as a summer storm crosses over the city.

I wish you rainbows, hope, and light.

Happy Photographing!

And, as always, thanks for stopping by,

  1. Great shot, Alina.

I’ve never seen such light, rainbow and shade to this extreme before.

    1. Thank you, Vicki,

Yes, we have quite some dramatic storms passing over the area, and sometimes followed by rainbows :-).
