Here, in the U.S., this past weekend we celebrated Independence Day. This year we could gather outside again to ooh and aah at the magnificent fireworks display over the New York City area. There were lots of people, as you can see in the images posted below, hence, I did wear a mask at all times. (to be honest, I still wear a mask when I go out and about, especially when in crowded areas)

I also did manage to capture a few images. Have a look:

A few notes on:

Camera Settings:

  • bulb, f/11-ish (usually this varies between f/8 – f/16), ISO 200, tripod height adjusted for best view possible

Composition:

  • mostly wide-angle shots, some close-ups (as much as it was possible); at times I also included people, silhouetted by fireworks light

Hope you had a wonderful weekend, too.

As always, thanks for stopping by!

    1. Appreciate your kind words! Photographing these kinds of events takes up a good chunk of your day. But it’s worth it. I got there early, to be able to find a good spot from where to photograph. But then the pier got pretty crowded, pretty soon. The weather cooperated, too, which was nice. Many thanks, again!
