Virtual Pride 2020

How to celebrate global Pride 2020 on Saturday, June 27

The first Pride was a march, and took place fifty years ago, in 1970. This June, in 2020, because of Covid-19, we have no choice but to celebrate half a century of Pride through global virtual Pride events happening all day, on Saturday, June27.

But each one of us can celebrate Pride 2020 in our own way, sharing Pride memories, images, videos, writing, and so on.

Here are a few Pride memories of my own:

And here are a few articles covering LGBTQ+ profiles I’ve written over the years:

LGBT Survival Guide – an interview with NYC artist and curator, Steed Taylor. Article published in A&U Magazine–America’s AIDS Magazine

Herstory Matters: An interview with award-winning filmmaker, Megan Rossman, about her latest documentary, The Archivettes, published in Out IN Jersey Magazine

COVID-19 NJ Stories: I appreciate Garden State artists and authors for sharing their personal COVID-19 stories with me. Read about them in Out IN Jersey Magazine.

Happy Pride!
