Giving Thanks

Giving thanks and expressing gratitude through photography

It’s Thanksgiving week, and so I want to start by thanking a few people who have helped shape my life throughout the years, inspiring me, being there for me, and keeping me on the right track.

First, I want to thank my family and my friends. I’m lucky to have the family that I have, and the extended family of friends, too. You are my support group. This year, I’m also glad to have reunited with a handful of friends after many, many years.

I also want to thank my mentors and role models, people I look up to. Thank you for believing in me, and for being there for me.

Those I’ve met more recently, and who have inspired me and my work.

My students, a few in particular (you know who you are). You help me become a better version of myself.

I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is about giving thanks, being thankful, and perhaps counting our blessings as we reunite with loved ones. So, how can we capture Thanksgiving in images and go beyond the obvious?

Photograph something that we’re thankful and grateful for:

spending time with a loved one:

Life is a journey. You never know when that journey will come to an end. So spend time with the ones you love.

experiencing unique moments with loved ones:

I could go on, but it’s Thanksgiving week after all. So, enjoy, count your blessings, and have a wonderful and

Happy Thanksgiving!
