Mardi Gras 2016
Because it’s Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, here are a few images from New Orleans, aka Crescent City, one of my favorite cities after NYC, of course.
There’s nothing like fog on the Mississippi River, vampires and ghosts tours with no other than the fantastic Lord Chaz, or a stroll around the farmers market, jars of pickled eggs, or a short trip to get your hands on the best rum possible, made only in New Orleans.
I’ve visited the city several times so far, but this was the first time when I experienced the fog, thick and heavy, covering the muddy Mississippi River, like tentacles reaching out, grasping hold of the waterfront.
Here are a few images:

Also, while in NOLA, one has to check out not only the food and drinks, the jazz, but also the magnificent cemeteries built above the ground, and in particular the vampire and ghost tours, especially the one guided by the phenomenal Lord Chaz.

And, yes, I hope to visit again soon.
Happy Mardi Gras!
Thanks for stopping by,
