A sunset symbolism

In a #tbt post I talked about experimenting with special effects in camera–for example, zooming in or out with the shutter open, while on a tripod, photographing during one of the golden hours of the day.

This past weekend I revisited some of those images and looked at them through the lens of today’s state of the world. And I noticed another kind of symbolism attached to some images, in particular the sunset images.

And a few questions came to mind:

Are we (or some of us) at the sunset of life as we know it?

And, while the sunset light could be (deceivingly) mesmerizing, what happens when the colors fade to black and white?

Some (visual) food for thought this week, I guess.

Wishing you all a wonderful week, and, as always, thanks for stopping by,
