Thanksgiving – Holiday Mood

Today is Thanksgiving Day here, in the U.S., and many people share reasons for and thoughts of thankfulness and gratefulness. And yet, this year, all these wishes and thoughts sound off, somehow hollow and hopeless, no matter how well intended.

This year’s Thanksgiving and the holiday season that’s about to start bring to mind a #tbt image I called Final Moments. It captures the Freedom Tower appearing as if sinking behind bars, at night. I hope that we can survive the darkness that’s about to descend….

I wish those who celebrate a relaxing and peaceful Thanksgiving Day and weekend.

  1. Love the image and Happy Thanksgiving, Alina.

Like you, I’m a little concerned where the U.S. might be heading (with T.) and how it will impact the rest of the world. I guess we can hope for a pleasant surprise?

    1. Thank you so much, Vicki. It was a quiet Thanksgiving. I don’t really celebrate it, but it was a relaxing day, which I completely enjoyed.
And, yes, just like you, I do hope for a pleasant surprise, and that we’ll get through what’s to come….

      Again, appreciate it!

      Wishing you a relaxing weekend.
