Smoke from the Canadian fires reaches the NYC area and engulfs everything into an orange fog
Now that August is already here, I look at the summer that soon will be only a memory and wonder about the images that will best capture it. Perhaps some of the most symbolic snapshots that capture the essence of this summer also portrait Mother Nature, the environment, and our human relationship with nature. That brings to mind the Canadian wildfires and the smoke that then drifted down and engulfed most of the North American continent.
In the New York City area, it engulfed almost everything in a thick, orange fog or smoke. It felt like breathing in a fine spray of minuscule needles, in and out, in and out, with each breath.

I wish you all a safe and restful summer and, as always, thanks for stopping by,
