I haven’t posted as often as I used to, lately, but sometimes life gets in the way. That said, I do have a few updates to share.

This past weekend it was Labor Day weekend in the U.S., marking the unofficial end of end of summer. And speaking of summer, and this year, thus far, it has been a challenging one, and in many ways.

This summer was busy with

photo shoots of all kinds–promotional, educational, events, and others

photography presentations

preparing and teaching about HIV and AIDS through related culture, history, and creative work

starting an…online hub, if you will, for those interested in learning more about HIV and AIDS . Check out the ART Spell Zine, which is very much a work in progress (more on the ART Spell Zine later)

The end of summer always brings to mind a verse from a French poem:

“Adieu belles forêts, plages ensoleillées, et beaux jours d’été.”

[Farewell beautiful forests, sunny beaches, and beautiful days of summer.]

I’ve been trying to find out the name of the poem and its poet, but with no luck so far.

Hope that you all enjoy the remaining days of summer, and wish for their warmth to linger for a while longer.

As always, thanks for stopping by,
