This past weekend I embarked on a series of art crawls in the larger NYC area. It was good for the mind and soul, and for the body, too (because of all the walking involved). One of the art events that I always check out (and used to be part of, years ago), was the Jersey City Artist Studio Tour.

That’s where I reconnected with three artists I admire and have covered for publications over the years.
I ran into Deb Sinha. Years ago, when I interviewed him for the Out IN Jersey Magazine, he talked about Journeys and Destinations to becoming an artist. Check out the article here.
I also stopped by Tyler Neasloney, a young fashion designer I had the pleasure and honor to interview and photograph for an Out IN Jersey Magazine cover. Check it out here. We chatted and caught up with the latest and greatest. And he showed me some of his most recent work–breathtaking as always.

And how could I not stop by one of my favorite artists, Robert Koch, a sculptor whose work is inspired by the great Constantin Brancusi. One of the art pieces I noticed reminded me of Brancusi’s Column of Infinity. Check out Koch’s amazing work here.

So, I’d say that I had an immerse-yourself-in-art kinda weekend. It offered a healing and welcoming escape for the mind and, with that, peace of mind.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend, too, and wish you a wonderful week ahead.
As always, thanks for stopping by,
