Painting with Light at Sunrise
“The process of ‘painting with light’ is oftentimes a ritual of sorts, one that involves a blend of science, art, and magic necessary to bring a photograph to life.”
That’s a quote by yours truly. It came to mind when thinking about photography as a process of “painting with light” and what that entails.
Painting with light can become an art form in the hands of photographers. I guess, as photographers, we have to not only capture the light, as it falls on our subjects, but to understand it, feel it, and model our subject with the light.
