State of Mind is one of the self-portraits I captured during the COVID years. (I know, that’s not that long ago.) But the image also capture an individual and collective state of mind in a time before and after that pandemic, a state of mind that many of us have experienced for almost a decade.
It often manifested itself in feelings of deep despair, a darkness penetrating lives and souls, disguising its intentions, only to then threaten and take away freedoms and liberties. It felt as if hope was lost, possibly forever.
…Until recently, when hope showed itself to us, yet again. First, as tiny droplets of hope filling the air. Then, redefining and reflecting our collective and individual state of mind.
What a welcoming feeling. I hope it will last. Let’s make it last, at least for a while longer.
I wish you hope, happiness, and happy photographing!
And, as always, thanks for stopping by,
PS: Speaking of hope and droplets of hope, here’s a link to a limited time promotion on an 8×10 canvas print.
Take a look.
