Many creatives become activists or advocates and use their artwork to help promote a cause, send a message, raise awareness, and so forth. And, over the years, I’ve been lucky enough to talk with them and help tell their stories, get to know them better and be inspired by them.
Because, again, June is Pride Month, here are a few stories I’ve covered, profiles of activists and advocates from different generations, thus fighting for that same cause, perhaps in slightly different ways.
First, check out two cover story interviews and photo shoots with LGBTQIA activists and artists, for Out IN Jersey Magazine:

Read my #tbt interview with the revered artist and activist, Avram Finkelstein, here.

Read my #tbt cover story interview with fashion designer Tyler Neasloney here.
Here are more samples of my cover photography work.
And here‘s a #tbt cover story interview and photo shoot with HIV and AIDS advocate, author and public speaker Victoria Noe.

I believe that, in a way, it’s part of an artist’s DNA, if you will, to use their creative work to support or promote a cause we believe in, raise awareness, do good, to make positive change. And the possibilities are endless, especially nowadays.
As always, thanks for stopping by,
