“When words become unclear, I shall focus on photographs,” Ansel Adams once said.

A photograph is, indeed, more than “a thousand words,” and a powerful, visual means through which to capture feelings, thoughts, perspectives, opinions, mood, and so on.

And so, today, I’d like to share an iPhone image that, I think, visually represents the mood of the day for many of us–feeling stuck between winter and spring, present and possibilities, between the reality that is and one that could be, with or without a way out:

So, what do you think?

Also, do you use photography to express yourselves, to capture feelings, opinions, or mood? If so, please feel free to comment below.

And also, I hope that spring will bring better temperatures, and days.

As always, thanks for stopping by,

Alina Oswald

  1. Great shot, Alina.

It speaks to me of frustration and being stranded, a feeling common to many over the planet today (and in recent times).

The weather is crazy and nothing we can do about it but accept what is….. because what was….. is a thing of the past and we all have to get used to this new way of living.

    1. Thanks, Vicki! I appreciate your note and kind words. Yes, I feel many of us feel stranded, at a crossroads of sorts, trying to figure out what’s gonna happen next.

As for the weather, it is, indeed, changing by the day. We’ll have to get used to it and adapt. Also, winter, while it’s not what it used to be, it lingers. Hopefully, soon, it will gone, for good.

As always, thanks you so much!
