June marks not only the beginning of summer, but it’s also a month stock-full of HIV and AIDS-related events of all kinds:

June 5 is the HIV and AIDS Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day

June 27 is National HIV Testing Day, here, in the U.S.

During the month of June, as well as throughout the summer, museums and galleries host art shows highlighting the history of AIDS, as documented by artists in visual art, books, performing arts, and much more.

Banners reminding us of that history as well as of the work that’s yet to be done are also present in the Pride Marches taking place all across the country, really.

So, today, I’d like to share with you some of my own HIV-and-AIDS-inspired images I’ve captured over the past twenty years. Take a look.

Hope you enjoy your summer and, as always, many thanks for stopping by.
