Today Is the Day

Tuesday, November 8, 2022: The Midterms are here….

Oh, the midterms and the disaster they’re about to leave in the aftermath. I don’t even want to think about it. Not yet.

So, for now, I’ll just try to express, visually, the feelings that many of us are going through. It’s frustrating, disappointing, and plain sad; heartbreaking.

It’s difficult not to feel the doom and gloom when witnessing the final hours of a dream that’s about to turn into a horrible, horrific, dark, and dangerous real-life nightmare.

Yet, despite all the disappointment and disillusion, the inaction (unfortunately and surprisingly during the past two years, under the Biden Administration and a barely- democratic congress held hostage by the republicans), and the feeling that you’re not heard and that justice is not being served, VOTE BLUE. The alternative is far too dangerous.

And if you wonder how drastically life would/will (let’s be realistic) change, just take a moment to imagine this:

When you do vote or ponder upon whether to vote or not, try to imagine a world where freedom is no more, where facts, as well as fundamental human rights, do not exist, and where any attempt at self-expression can cost you much more than your life.

And ask yourself:

Would you–and if yes, how–would you adapt to such a life?

I hope you’ll never have to find out.

Don’t throw it all away. Vote Blue!
