We had an eventful weekend here, in the NYC area. JC Pride Fest was on Saturday, and then Hurricane Henri on Sunday.
Every time a hurricane or tropical depression reaches us, it makes me think of Hurricane Sandy and the disaster it brought to our area.
Luckily, Henri was a non-event. The first bands of rain started coming in on Friday night, bringing along thunder and lightning. And then it rained throughout the weekend.
We were lucky this time around, but aware that the hurricane season is not over. What will happen when the next hurricane decides to come our way?
